Fall Term classes
Welcome to BCT! We have face-to-face, hands-on classes available this fall. And a combination of face-to-face and remote classes in our Design Build and Construction Management programs. New students: all hands-on and Design Build students enroll in BCT 106, and 102 and 103. All Construction Management students enroll in BCT 100, 102, and 103. 104 is available for all students who meet the MTH 20 prerequisite. Everyone can start. Attend an information session and we’ll get you set up in the appropriate classes. Start full-time, part-time, or in a single class!

Building Construction Technology (BCT) is the only program of its kind in the Portland area offered by an accredited institution with three unique areas of study and these degree options:
- Hands-On Building Construction Technology
- Construction Management
- Design/Build Remodeling
Every BCT instructor has been or still is a practicing professional in the construction industry. BCT Faculty and Staff strive to keep our program current introducing students to the latest technologies and methodologies. Sustainable construction practices are integrated into every course. The curriculum is continually being updated. Our diverse student body of men and women reflects the dynamics of our surrounding community.

Greg Olson, Owner, Olson, and Jones
After graduating from Benson Tech, Greg bought a saw and opened a business. He hasn’t looked back, remodeling some of the most meticulously crafted homes in Portland. He does give back, however. Greg is one of our biggest supporters, serving on our Industry Advisory Board, Guest Lecturing, and even teaching a class when called upon to serve. You can see Greg’s work on his website.
Scott Work, Senior Accounts Manager, ATG
Scott became involved with BCT when he was a Project Manager with Skanska and has maintained his support for years. He recently guest lectured in our BCT 225 course in the Spring of 2017.
Miguel Lopez, Project Manager, JE Dunn
Miguel attended PCC, and he has been guest lecturing in our classes since 2008. He was a Project Engineer on the PCC Willow Creek building and has hosted numerous project tours over the years. Miguel, and all of our partners, appreciate that each student is an individual with their own set of skills and experiences. His commitment to our programs helps make our programs stronger and enhances the experience every student has here at Rock Creek.

The curriculum is designed to provide detailed instruction in commercial construction practices and is taught from the perspective of the general contractor.
The only program of its kind in the US: our Design/Build Remodeling degree prepares you in designing, managing, and constructing kitchen and bathroom renovations. Our program has strong affiliations with local contractors and national associations including the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).
