Instructional Quality & Program Planning
About Instructional Quality & Program Planning Team
This team comprises the Training & Development team and the Online Schedule Coordinator. The T&D team works closely with academic programs to gauge instructor training needs and support course planning and development for online, remote, and hybrid modalities. This team facilitates new online course training, the mentor/coordinator program, and supports workshops and other professional development opportunities across the college. The Online Schedule Coordinator maintains the online planning guide, develops and refines various scheduling tools for academic programs, and provides historical analysis and additional information support for program planning and faculty training processes.
Course Design and Quality
About the Course Design and Quality Team
This is an instructional design team also known internally as IDEAS (Innovators of Designed Experiences for Academic Success). They design and build engaging and accessible instructional materials and courses that are centered on student success. Project Managers: Leads course design projects, analyzes existing course materials, develops design plans, organizes workflows, keeps projects on schedule, and communicates with stakeholders. Instructional Designers: Designs and develops instructional materials according to the design plan. Builds and organizes course content in the LMS. Refreshes and updates courses for adoption. Video Producer: Create videos from DIY to full studio production (e.g., Learning Glass, 360, documentary).

OSSM Team
About Online Student Success Management (OSSM) Team
This team Identifies support opportunities and challenges that affect online students at PCC. This team created Virtual Backpack: The Start Guide for Online Learning, developed Online Advising and Advising standards, managing and developing the Online Student Resource Center, administrating e-Tutoring services, added/organized a Virtual Help tab in MyPCC, and enabled Chat services for major departments.
Instructional Technology & Innovation Team
About Instructional Technology Specialists (ITS) & Innovation Team
This team comprises the Instructional Technology Specialists (ITS) team and the Innovation Technologist. The ITS team are individuals who are knowledgeable of and experienced with the use of various types of instructional/learning technology tools for the delivery of education via various modalities, such as D2L Brightspace. ITS wears many different hats. This team provides a number of services to faculty members, including one-on-one consultations, group training sessions, and assistance with the online faculty helpdesk. They also help instructors with technology applications, troubleshooting, and best practices for use in their courses. Each campus has an ITS assigned to ensure faculty are fully supported as they deliver their course(s).
The innovation technologist is responsible as one component of our ongoing continuous improvement plan for coordinating our systematic evaluation of emerging instructional technologies and practices. Working with the ITS team, we assure our goals of improving inclusive student engagement and completion through innovation are informed directly by faculty practice and feedback. As an Immedgineer or immersive education engineer, immersive XR technologies are used to help learners reach ʻlearn by doingʻ objectives, and through immersive tools as they embody their future more capable selves.

Technology Management & Admin Applications
About Technology Management & Admin Applications Team
The Admin Appsteam ensure continuous access to a secure, accessible, and dynamic online learning ecosystem, maintaining system components’ and performance’s health and reliability. They work with vendors to implement, support, and maintain a variety of licensed and integrated tools used by students, staff, and faculty, including reviewing and evaluating new technologies for instruction. The LMS Admins communicate important updates, changes, and other valuable information to the PCC community, while providing training and expertise related to these updates and changes with the Online Learning Team staff. They create documentation, provide tier 2 and tier 3 support for instructional applications, and can usually be counted on to provide a good laugh.
